Start with an identified component and its manufacturer reference.
The catalogue contains original parts and care products; a known reference does not by itself confirm that it fits an unlisted machine or that a particular seller has the right item in stock.
Read the fit note before leaving the catalogue
Some manufacturer pages list explicit Works With model codes. Other older pages still identify the spare but omit a current machine list. In the second case, ask the manufacturer to confirm fit using the complete label and production code before ordering.
A product page without a fit answer can still help identify an old reference. Keep that limited use separate from a confirmed replacement choice. Search results, housing shape and a matching brand are supporting clues, not an exact machine relationship.
Inspect the seller’s actual product
Compare the reference, manufacturer, package quantity and included components on the destination page. A basket is different from a portafilter; a holder is different from a water filter; a three-pack is different from one cartridge.
Check the region and any production-date restriction. Our US Breville references should not be extended to a Sage appliance without regional documentation. Retain the component until the delivered replacement is identified.
Choose the appropriate route
Use a manufacturer page to confirm the documented identity and listed fit. Use a merchant page to check the item being sold, returns and availability. When fit is unresolved, a support request with the full model, spare code and photographs is more useful than ordering several similar parts to try.
